FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- From soil to Fresno's newest hotel, the Hyatt House is open and ready for guests.
"Folks having a conference here in the city of Fresno or dropping off their kids on the first day of the semester, catching the Mana concert at the Save Mart Center, watching Shakira at Valley Children's Stadium or watching our Bulldogs playing in the Pac-12 next season. This is going to be the place to stay," Fresno City Councilmember Tyler Maxwell said.
Built in partnership with the university, the new hotel is the finishing touch for the Campus Pointe area.
"Fresno State definitely needs something like this sooner rather than later," student Nathaniel Ramos said.
"Overall, it's good to see expansion," student Giovani said.
The original concept for the center was approved over
