CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- Clovis Police say a suspect is in custody after a man was found dead in a parking lot early Thursday morning.

An officer was doing a routine patrol in the area of Ashlan and Villa when he came across a body in a parking lot just before 3:30 a.m.

Investigators say the body is that of a middle-aged man but he has not been identified.

Several businesses, including the Fresno County Department of Social Services, were taped off throughout the morning for the investigation.

"At the scene, we did find one vehicle that appears to be associated with this incidents, It was a brought back to our police department f for further processing," said Clovis Police Seargeant Abby Padgett.

No other details have been released on the suspect in custody.
