Seinfeld star Julia Louis-Dreyfus revealed why she chose to share her battle against breast cancer with the public.

During a discussion on the Good Hang podcast, Amy Poehler praised her for being so brave and sharing something so sensitive with the public. Poehler added how her revelation helped a lot of people who were going through the same thing. Louis-Dreyfus said that she initially didn't want to share her diagnosis as she likes to keep her personal life separate from her public image. " It's funny how that worked out because normally I would not have done that. I'm very private ."

However, she felt like she was pressured into telling the world about her diagnosis. She said that the only reason she went public was that they had to postpone production on her HBO show Vee
