MEXICO CITY, Dec 10 – The permanent commission of ‍Honduras’ congress said late on Wednesday that it will not validate ‌the results of ‌the Nov. 30 presidential election.

“The National Congress will not validate a process tainted by internal pressure ‍from organized crime structures linked to drug trafficking, ‍gangs such as MS-13 and [Barrio] 18, among others, much less external ‍pressure and the direct violation of voters’ freedom,” ‍Luis ‍Redondo, president of Honduras’ congress, said at a ‌press conference in the capital of Tegucigalpa.
