UPDATE : December 10 at 9:45 p.m.

US Highway 12, east of Naches, is now closed in both directions due to flooding.

A detour is available through local roads for those affected by the closure.

The flooding has spread east from the Little Red School House on the highway's north side.

In a community effort, an unknown individual has filled several sandbags and left them for anyone in need. WSDOT expressed gratitude, saying, "Your community is forever grateful for your hard work." Poly bags and sand remain available for further use.
