President Donald Trump officially rolled out the Gold Card visa system on Wednesday, a fast-track option intended to allow preeminent American companies to secure US residency for their valuable foreign employees via a fee.

Trump compared the new program to a Green Card with major benefits, telling executives that the new website was minutes away from accepting applications, where the payment for an individual would be $1 million and for a company to retain talent would be $2 million.
