SPENCER — Carter Williams scored 26 points as North Rowan’s boys basketball team stopped a four-game losing skid by beating A.L. Brown 75-61 on Tuesday.

North (2-4) started fast, built a seven-point lead after a quarter and was in control 37-23 at the break.

The Wonders (2-5) played their best ball in the third quarter to get back in the game, but the Cavaliers were able to finish off the victory. Williams scored 10 in the fourth quarter.

Freshman Jordan Massenburg made two 3-pointers and scored 16 for the Cavaliers. Jaiden Brown (14) and Michael Alford (8) had career highs.
