LANDIS — South Piedmont Conference defending champ Robinson opened league play with an emphatic 83-39 win at South Rowan on Tuesday.

South got two early 3-pointers from Aaiden Sechler and was able to stay in the game for a quarter, but the Bulldogs scored at the buzzer to end the quarter for an 18-11 lead.

“We started out pretty well,” South head coach Justin Pauley said. “We got scored on at the end of the quarter and it went down from there. It was a rough game for us, but we’ll be OK.”

Robinson led 47-23 at the half and held South to four points in the third quarter, while scoring 26.

Sechler finished with eight points. Anderson Pauley also scored eight. Brylan Sloop had six.
