CONCORD — Concord was a thorn in Carson’s side in the 2024-25 season, but revenge came three points at a time on Tuesday in historic Rimer Gym.
Carson splashed an astounding 21 3-pointers in a 76-56 South Piedmont Conference victory over the Spiders who beat them twice last season.
That means 63 of Carson’s 76 points came from long distance. Carson (6-0, 1-0) made only four 2s and five free throws.
“We were solid, shot it well and moved the ball really well,” Carson head coach Brian Perry said. “It’s never easy on the road, so we’re happy to get this one.”
CP Perry made eight 3-pointers and scored 28 points. Perry made four 3s in the third quarter. He bumped his career points total at Carson 964.
