GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - A Christmas celebration for the District 4 community took place on Wednesday.

Put on by Harrison County Board of Supervisors District 4 Kent Jones, this is the 10th year for the event.

The Isiah Fredricks Community Center turned into a winter wonderland for pictures with Santa.

Jones says he holds this event each year to give back to the community that raised him.

“I grew up here. I’ve been the supervisor for 10 years and it means a lot to me. I walked these streets as a little kid, sometimes with no shoes. So, I know it well, and I know the kids really enjoy it and I enjoy it as well,” says Jones.

While this event was held in District 4, communities from all over the Coast were welcome to join.
