A lake effect snow warning was released by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 2:02 a.m. in effect until Friday at 4 a.m. for Warren and McKean counties.
The weather service states to expect, "Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations between 3 and 6 inches, with localized amounts as high as 8 inches in more persistent snow bands. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph causing significant blowing snow and greatly reduced visibility at times."
"Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes," explains the weather service.
