As US President Donald Trump unveiled a new million-dollar "Gold Card" visa for immigrants , he used the moment to lament that students from India and China will have to return home after graduating, calling it a "shame."
The Gold Card , announced by Trump on Wednesday, is a visa designed for immigrants who can provide substantial benefit to the United States, creating a new pathway to citizenship.
Speaking during a roundtable at the White House, Trump said that after students graduate from college, "you have to go back to India, they have to go back to China, they have to go back to France. They have to go back to wherever they came from. Very hard to stay. It's a shame."
