Coming off of an 0-2 week on the road, Missouri basketball returns Thursday to Mizzou Arena for a brief respite from high-major opponents with a game against Alabama State.

Mizzou (8-2) has three games left in its nonconference schedule. After their matchup on Thursday, the Tigers face Bethune-Cookman on Sunday before taking on Illinois in the Braggin’ Rights matchup on Dec. 22 to wrap their non-league slate.

After opening the season with eight straight wins, Missouri has lost back-to-back games on the road at Notre Dame and on a neutral floor in the Border War against Kansas.

Alabama State (3-6) is the No. 270 team in Division I in the analytics site KenPom’s national rankings.
