Controversial radio host Craig Carton will return for his third stint at WFAN in a new afternoon show beginning Jan. 5, the station announced on Wednesday.
Carton’s return had been known since news first broke on Dec. 1. But the start date and the full extent of the shuffle in WFAN’s lineup was not revealed until Wednesday.
Carton will host “The Carton Show” alongside Chris McMonigle from 2-7 p.m.
"WFAN has always been home to me,” Carton said in a statement. “Having the opportunity to return and rejoin the best sports talk station in the world is an opportunity I am eagerly looking forward to and beyond excited for.”
Current afternoon hosts Evan Roberts and Tiki Barber will move to 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
There was no word on the fate of current mid-morning hosts Sal Licata and Brandon Tie
