SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Some holiday traditions are not always adaptable to those with physical disabilities, but going the extra mile to include everyone makes for some special memories.

On Wednesday, Santa did just that in Sioux Falls.

Of all the appearances Santa will make before a trip around he world on Christmas Eve, this one was unique. It meant everything to kids who are deaf or hard of hearing, because no translator was needed.

Kids who are deaf or hard of hearing experience the world and the holiday season differently. South Dakota Services for the Deaf (SDSD) Outreach Consultant Katie Janssen was born deaf, but didn’t grow up signing.
