RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - A fatal collision happened Wednesday afternoon in Richland County, authorities say.

The collision reportedly took place on Raunch Metz Road near Broad River Road around 1:30 p.m.

The crash happened when a 2001 Ford truck, traveling south, ran off the road to the right and hit a tree.

According to the SCHP, the driver died from their injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
