COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Dr. Deanna Brown, daughter of legendary musician James Brown, returned to Columbia as the keynote speaker for a Carolina for All community program focused on civic engagement and advocacy.

Brown, who was honored by Carolina for All last year, spoke about her father’s legacy beyond music and the importance of service, leadership, and community involvement. She emphasized the role education and awareness play in creating lasting change.
