ODESSA, Texas ( KOSA /Gray News) – A 15-year-old boy in Texas is accused of shooting and killing three members of his ex-girlfriend’s family, police said.

The Odessa Police Department said the shooting happened Tuesday evening at the 87 th Street Apartments.

Odessa police said the 15-year-old boy had planned to shoot his 15-year-old ex-girlfriend after school, but then he changed his mind and went to her home instead.

He is accused of then shooting the girl’s mother, 39-year-old Jessica Rodriguez, and the girl’s two siblings, a 9-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl.

The three victims were pronounced dead at the home.

Police said the boy ran from the scene, but he was captured within 30 minutes.
