BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - On Wednesday afternoon in the basement of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan, many St. Joseph nurses voted to join the National Nurses Organizing Committee / National Nurses United (NNOC/NNU).
“When we come together, we win,” said Cardiovascular Nurse Navigator for St. Joseph, Jessica Crouch.
Crouch said hearing the results was both surreal and a relief.
“It feels great to know that we have so much support behind us and that we’re here to make a difference. it’s definitely a relief to have our results,” Crouch emphasized.
This election was in the works for months. Concerns over patient safety, staff to patient ratios, and work life balance were some of the reasons the St. Joseph nurses wanted to join the largest and fastest growing union of registered nurses in
