WASHINGTON — The Judy Black Memorial Park and Gardens will welcome artists Joe Gitterman and Doug White for a joint exhibition, on view beginning Friday, December 19. The exhibit will feature mixed media collages by Mr. White and sculptures by Mr. Gitterman. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, December 20, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
Born in New York in 1936, Joe Gitterman is an American sculptor. He attended the Dalton School and Westminster School, the University of Virginia, and Columbia University. He continued his studies at the New School, The Art Students League, and the Pratt Institute. Mr. Gitterman started sculpting as a hobby in 1969, but it wasn’t until he retired from Wall Street that he dedicated himself to making art full time
