Two men were convicted on federal charges linked to the 2019 disappearance of a still-missing Nebraska teenager.
A federal jury convicted 44-year-old Floyd Clifford “Cliff” Coates Jr. of St. Francis, Kansas, and his brother-in-law, 65-year-old Dennis Lawson of Whiting, Iowa, after an 11-day trial in the Northern District of Iowa, according to a Dec. 1 news release . The jury deliberated about two hours.
