5-year-old special needs boy hospitalized after being found wandering alone in 40

HOUSTON, Texas – A 5-year-old child had to be hospitalized after deputies found him wandering alone in the streets in near-freezing temperatures.

Deputies with the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 Office responded to Imperial Valley Drive and Doubletree Glen Drive after the child was seen on the roadway.

Deputies say the child was only wearing pants and no shoes in temperatures in the 40s.

The child is now being transported to the hospital for possible exposure to the cold.

Deputies located the child’s parents. It’s not clear if they will face any charges.
