Two dogs were found abandoned and tied to a tree with wire in Huyton . Dalinda the Chow Chow was found alongside her sister Kaida in a terrible condition, struggling to walk and "virtually blind" due to a painful eye problem.

Their coats were so matted and overgrown that Dogs Trust Merseyside staff "couldn't even tell which end was the front or back" after being called to the scene last November. The dogs were untangled and taken to the nearby rehoming centre by the Animal Transport and Boarding Ambulance.
