The DX Delivery depot in Bootle is set to be closed down.

There is "devastation" among staff members who have been told just weeks before Christmas that the Merseyside delivery depot where they work is set to be shut down. DX is a major delivery firm that transports packages and items for businesses in the UK and Ireland.

The company currently has a freight facility based in Redfern Street in Bootle , just outside Liverpool. The facility is primarily used for the company's road haulage, freight and parcel delivery services in the Merseyside areas.

But the nearly 40 staff members based at the Bootle depot have recently been told that the company is planning to close the site, a move confirmed by the company.
