HanWay Films has come aboard Nigerian-born writer-director Olive Nwosu’s debut feature “ Lady ,” which was recently unveiled as among the world premieres in Sundance 2026.

Starring Jessica Gabriel’s Ujah, Amanda Oruh, Tinuade Jemiseye, Bucci Franklin and Seun Kuti, the film charts one young woman’s quest for sisterhood and freedom set in the sprawling African metropolis of Lagos. It’s set to play in the World Cinema Competition category at Utah. HanWay will represent worldwide sales.
