SEATTLE — Flooding, road closures and more impacts are hitting western Washington on Thursday morning as heavy rains drench the area.

A second surge of an atmospheric river hit western Washington Tuesday evening and into Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). All of western Washington is under a Flood Watch through Friday.

With heavier rain back into the area, several cities and counties are seeing roadway and property flooding, mudslides, road closures and other damage.
