It’s always surprising when people living in a city don’t appreciate their hometown’s attractions. I lived in San Antonio for several years and met many residents who had never been to the Alamo. But I kind of get it.
It’s like holidays. Some people love the hustle of holiday shopping, festive sporting events and crowded family get-togethers. Then there are people who find those activities as attractive as playing dodgeball blindfolded.
But whether you’re looking for things to discover for yourself in El Paso or have guests visiting for the holidays or the upcoming Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl , there are plenty of free and relatively inexpensive activities that should appeal to socially shy visitors or residents who would rather enjoy more solitary pastimes.
