Premium egg brand Eggoz Nutrition has found itself under intense social media scrutiny following claims that its eggs may contain traces of a banned chemical linked to cancer. Known for promoting fresh, chemical-free eggs, the brand’s reputation has taken a hit as concerned consumers share videos and reports online.

The controversy began when the YouTube channel Trustified, which conducts independent lab tests on health products, released a report indicating that Eggoz eggs contained AOZ, a metabolite of the antibiotic Nitrofuran. This chemical is prohibited in poultry farming due to potential carcinogenic effects. Although the detected level—0.73 parts per billion—was extremely low, it contradicted Eggoz’s long-standing claim of selling “100% Antibiotic Free” eggs.
