LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Ovenright, Metro Police say a routine traffic stop near Rainbow and Eldora turned into a crash scene.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says around 9:45 p.m., an officer was inside their patrol vehicle writing a citation when a driver hit the back of the police car.

The officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police say the driver who caused the crash was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
