Alex Golesh’s on-field coaching staff is nearly complete, as the Tigers reportedly added a running backs coach on Thursday.
Larry Porter, who spent the 2025 season in the same role at West Virginia, is expected to become Auburn’s next running backs coach, according to reports from CBS Sports and On3.
Porter, who coached on Gus Malzahn’s Auburn staff from 2017-2020, has been a college coach since 1998, mostly coaching running backs. During his previous stint on the Plains, he coached tight ends, half backs and was the recruiting coordinator.
