The order issued by CEO Ramban with regard to suspension of a government school teacher for allegedly uploading an objectionable and community-targeted content on social media has once again made it clear that teachers are bound to act as role models for the society whether they are inside the educational institutions or not.
Reportedly, the Chief Education Office (CEO) Ramban has suspended a Grade-II teacher posted at Government Primary School, Killaseri in Batote Zone of the district with immediate effect under rule 31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956.
It is pertinent to mention that educators have greater responsibility towards the society and their behaviour under no circumstances should be allowed to tend to be full of prejudice
