December 11, 2025 – Along with their first season with 20 or more wins since 2012, Emporia State volleyball compiled a list of accomplishments in their third season under Ken Murczek .

After falling in their first two matches against opponents that were nationally ranked or receiving votes, the Hornets rattled off 13 consecutive wins, the longest winning streak for the program since 2009. The final win of the stretch came in a five-set comeback on the road against Pittsburg State.

Over the next five matches, the Hornets would pick up two ranked wins, including a sweep of #2 Nebraska-Kearney, which proved to be the highest ranked win over a D-II opponent in program history.
