DEDHAM — Gem Mutlu arrived at Ana and Brian Walshe’s Cohasset home with fruits and chocolates in hand, ready to celebrate. It was New Year’s Eve heading into 2023 , and he’d just helped his friends, the Walshes, sell an investment property.
The trio took pictures, Mutlu, a Boston-based real-estate agent, testified on Wednesday . They chatted with the Walshes’ eldest son, he said, and, later, in red marker, the adults signed a box of champagne.
In clear script on the box, Ana Walshe wrote that 2022 had been a great year.
“And yet we are still here and together,” she wrote. “Let’s make 2023 the best one yet. We are the authors of our lives.”
Mutlu read the text out loud, including her sign-off: “Love, Ana.”
