After signing a one-year, $10.5 million contract with the New York Giants during the offseason, Russell Wilson started just three games before he was benched for rookie first-round pick Jaxson Dart.

And in his 10 appearances since, Dart has impressed enough (1,556 yards passing, 11 touchdowns, 337 yards rushing, seven touchdowns) that Wilson will likely finish out the year on the bench before hitting free agency for the third time in his 14-year NFL career.

In fact, when Dart went down for two games with a concussion, the Giants turned to Jameis Winston instead of Wilson. But despite his place on the Giants’ depth chart, it seems Wilson is determined to prove he’s still a starting-caliber passer in the NFL.
