WASHINGTON — Whether you're participating in capturing a smooch under the National Mistletoe or just visiting D.C., the District will be trying for a world record so here are some things to know ahead of Saturday.

From 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. there will be no Emergency Parking on K Street from 7th Street to 9th Street, NW.

From 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. K Street from 7th to 9th Street, NW will be closed.

Decisions to close any other streets will be made based on public safety. MPD is also advising commuters that there will be parking restrictions along the street. Any cars that violate posted signage will be ticketed and towed.
