A documentary on the Kenmure Street immigration raid protest is set to debut at the Sundance Film Festival next month.
Everybody to Kenmure Street covers the story of he eight-hour stand-off in Pollokshields in May 2021 after the Home Office attempted to detain two Indian men. Described as the "most spontaneous and successful acts of civil resistance" in Glasgow , hundreds flooded the street to stop the two men from being deported.
The film will have its world premiere in January at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah where it screens on day one of the festival as part of the World Cinema Documentary Competition, reports the Record.
Directed by Chilean-Belgian filmmaker Felipe Bustos Sierra, the film uses crowd-sourced footage from the day along with archive film and set-designed sc
