WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Kansas Health Department has rescinded a boil water advisory for the Park City public water supply system.
The advisory was issued because of a waterline break resulting in a loss of pressure in the distribution system. Failure to maintain adequate pressure can result in bacterial contamination.
Laboratory testing of drinking water samples collected from Park City indicate no evidence of bacteriological contamination.
Park City confirmed on Tuesday that repairs on the water main break are complete and that “the system is slowly being brought back online.” Water was restored on Tuesday but the boil water advisory remained in place.
Chisholm Trail Elementary School sent a note to parents and guardians, advising them that bottled water is available for students
