WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A Kansas resident avoided losing thousands of dollars when their bank’s fraud detection system flagged a suspicious transaction involving equipment purchased through Facebook Marketplace, according to a Better Business Bureau report.
The person attempted to buy a skid steer and loader on Facebook Marketplace for $15,000. He wired money to what he thought was a business in Colorado before his bank flagged the transaction as potentially fraudulent.
