WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - WICHITA, Kan. — Flu cases in Sedgwick County are tracking at average levels for this time of year, but health professionals say safe practices and vaccinations remain key as winter weather sets in and holiday gatherings approach.
AFC Urgent Care on North Rock has stayed busy with visitors, though far from the hectic times of COVID when the facility saw high numbers of precautionary visits during the pandemic’s onset.
“In COVID times we used to have that a lot, like, people would come and say, ‘No, I want to make sure I don’t have COVID, because I’m going to go visit my family and I’m going to visit my mom and dad and they’re in a facility.’ We haven’t seen that this year, I would say,” said Dr. Samrah Mansoor, medical director of AFC Urgent Care.
