DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — There was a heavy police presence in Northwest Decatur Thursday morning.

Photos sent to WAND news showed several first responders near North Taylor Avenue and IL-121, near the underpass where the biking and walking trail begins.

Photos showed at least five police cars, a fire truck and an ambulance.

A WAND photojournalist at the scene said first responders left the area just before 12 p.m.

WAND has reached out to the Decatur Police Department, who had no comment at this time.

This is an ongoing situation. WAND is working to learn more.
