Shillong: Dec 11: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, who is also the Minister of Forests and Environment, today held a meeting of the Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board (MSPCB) at its office in Lumpyngngad here.
“We had positive discussions and reviewed the working of the board and discussed streamlining the working and functioning of the board to ensure that it is more effective,” Sangma said, adding that another review meeting will be held in January to chalk out measures to be taken to expand the scope of the board to effectively implement the mandates of the Air, Water and Environment Acts.
“In the days to come I am positive that the MSPCB will be a vibrant and effective board leading to better air and water quality and also control the pollution level in the state as a whole,” the
