VANCEBORO, N.C. (WTVD) -- The manhunt for 24-year-old Dominic Connelly , who is suspected of killing his grandmother and the attempted murder of a sheriff's deputy, is over after nearly two months.
Craven County Sheriff's Office confirms that Connelly was captured on Thursday, Dec. 11, in Vanceboro near Muddy Lane in an abandoned structure.
Connelly was wanted for the Oct. 25 murder of his grandmother in Havelock and the Oct. 29 attempted murder of a Craven County Sheriff's Deputy in Vanceboro.
During the last update in mid-November, deputies said they believed Connelly was alive and hiding in a heavily wooded area in Vanceboro
A combined reward of up to $10,000 was being offered for information leading to his capture. The sheriff's office didn't say if a tip led them to Connelly.
