The Lions added some defensive depth when they claimed Jalen Mills off waivers on Wednesday.
The move came after the Houston Texans claimed defensive tackle Naquan Jones, leaving Mills as the odd man out.
Mills, who spent three seasons with the New England Patriots, spent most of this season on Houston’s practice squad but was active for Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Mills was nicknamed “Green Goblin” after he dyed his hair green. It’s still his social media handle on X. He started dying his hair green during his time with the Philadelphia Eagles. He no longer sports the green hair.
The veteran safety logged a few snaps on special teams in the 20-10 win.
In total, Mills appeared in four games this season. He amassed four total tackles in his 48 defensive snaps and
