GRAND FORKS — Andrew Strathmann was a big point producer at the junior hockey level.
The UND sophomore defenseman racked up 77 points over 104 regular-season games with the Youngstown Phantoms in the United States Hockey League. He ran Youngstown's top power play and excelled at the offensive end.
His defensive game needed work.
"He's done a lot of work with (assistant) Dillon Simpson over the last year and a half," UND coach Dane Jackson said. "They are always watching video."
The results are showing.
