Russia has issued a sickening statement after a British military hero was killed whilst in Ukraine . The statement said that the UK should not be "deceiving its citizens" as tensions between Britain and Russia rise.

It comes after a British soldier was confirmed on Tuesday (December 9) to have died whilst training with Ukrainian soldiers. He has since been named as Lance Corporal George Hooley , according to the Ministry of Defence.
