ROCKFORD, Ill. — A local man was given his prison sentence for his role in a 2019 shooting death in Rockford .
34-year-old Eric Brown Jr. was sentenced to 120 years in state prison for first degree murder, armed robbery, and armed habitual criminal, the Winnebago County State's Attorney announced on Thursday.
Brown was found guilty of the offenses after a January 2024 trial.
On Oct. 15, 2019, Rockford Police officers were called to the 4800 block of Harrison Avenue for a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man, later identified as Robert Wash, with gunshot wounds.
Wash, a local rapper also known as Pairadice , was taken to a local hospital. He then died from his injuries. He was 40.
An investigation was launched. Detectives found out that Wash had arrived at the apartm
