BELOIT, Wis. — Police have given an update on the victim of a recent shooting that killed one victim .

Police said the victim of the shooting was a 25-year-old Beloit woman. She was found on scene by officers in the 1900 block of Colony Court just before 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The woman was brought to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead, according to police.

Police also said the shooting was an isolated event, and there is no danger to the community.

More information will be shared when the investigation is over, according to police. They said limited information is being released to protect the investigation's integrity.
