BAY RIDGE — LOVERS OF ALL THINGS SWEDISH CAN STILL CATCH THE FEAST OF ST. LUCIA, A BELOVED SCANDINAVIAN TRADITION in Bay Ridge. The Lucia Day party runs from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Union Church. This celebration, being held two days in advance of the actual religious feast day on Dec. 13, is part of the Global Citizenship Series in which the East Coast Scandinavian Museum and the Ridge Community Center have partnered.

The students will learn about the St. Lucia holiday, will make Swedish cookies and create an art project. Participants will also learn two traditional Lucia Day songs. Capping off the celebration will be a special 5:30 p.m. performance and singalong for parents and friends. The cost is $40 per child. Union Church at 7915 Ridge Blvd. is hosting this cultura
