ATLANTA — The Georgia Supreme Court will decide whether Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis can be compelled to testify before a Republican led state senate committee about her criminal case against Donald Trump.

Although the Fulton County case against Trump and a list of codefendants got dismissed last month, the investigative senate committee still wants to question Willis.

Willis is planning to testify before the committee next week, according to her attorney, according to her attorney, former Georgia Gov. Roy Barnes.

Yet Barnes and Willis contend a subpoena summoning her to testify is unconstitutional.

"It is our contention the case is moot," Barnes told supreme court justices Tuesday.
