Sun Valley Resort has opened additional terrain as snowmaking crews continue to battle warm temperatures and minimal snowfall.

On Bald Mountain, the resort has opened Roundhouse Lane to Mid River Run for advanced skiers only. Upper and Lower College, Sunset Strip and Lower River Run remain open.

A resort spokesperson told the Express that Dollar Mountain will open for the 2025-26 season today, Friday.

The magic carpet and Quarter Dollar lift will be operating, with access open to the run Poverty Flats and the terrain park Sluice Box.

Dollar Mountain uphill access remains closed.

Uphill travel has opened for the season on Bald Mountain via River Run, Sunset Strip and College. Uphill travel is permitted from 5-8 a.m. and 5-8 p.m.
